DANDRUFF: NATURAL SOLUTIONS WITH ESSENTIAL OILS
Dandruff is a common problem that can cause discomfort and embarrassment. Fortunately, nature offers us an effective solution: essential oils. With their natural properties, these oils can be powerful allies in treating dandruff, providing relief and balance to the scalp.
What is it?
Seborrheic dermatitis, popularly known as dandruff, is an inflammatory skin condition that can cause flaking and redness in various areas of the body, including the scalp, eyebrows, corners of the nose, ears, and chest.
Why does it happen?
The causes for the appearance of dandruff vary. It can be related to the type of sebum the skin produces or to inflammation, genetics, or a consequence of allergies, stress, low temperature... This condition can vary between periods of improvement and times when symptoms worsen, causing discomfort and irritation.
It is worth noting that in both adults and children, dandruff is not contagious and is not related to lack of hygiene. There are ways to prevent the appearance of this condition, such as:
- Not sleeping with wet hair;
- Drying yourself thoroughly before getting dressed;
- Controlling mental and physical stress;
- Avoiding hot baths, preferring lukewarm or cold ones;
- Ensuring a balanced diet;
- Getting some sun every morning;
- Wearing clothes that do not retain sweat;
- Avoiding the use of any accessory that covers the head, preferring to keep it always dry and airy;
- Getting good nights of sleep.
