Just because it's summer doesn't mean you should give up hydrating your skin, okay?
The most anticipated season for many, summer is always associated with the beach, heat, and lots of sun. Although many mistakenly believe it to be a mild period for the skin, it is essential, just like in winter, to reinforce hydration care. This is because during warmer days, in addition to eliminating a greater amount of liquid due to excessive sweating, the dry air absorbs the skin's natural moisture.
If that weren't enough to redouble our attention, we can add the fact that water applied directly to the skin (showers to cool off, sea or pool baths) has an aggressive effect (despite sounding contradictory), due to the impact level of water on the skin.
Therefore, skin hydration in the summer should be reinforced with richer and more nourishing cream formulas, in addition to neutral soap or shower gel.

4 essential tips to maintain healthy and hydrated skin in the summer
1) Sunscreen is everything!
No matter the situation, if your skin is going to be exposed to the sun, it's important that you use sunscreen! It serves to protect against ultraviolet radiation, primarily responsible for skin aging and diseases. Apply sunscreen half an hour before leaving home and reapply every 2 hours!
It is worth noting, however, that despite correctly using sunscreen, consecutive hours of sun and heat also cause considerable stress to the skin. After a whole day outdoors or in contact with water, it is natural for the skin to become weakened. To reduce discomfort and repair it, a nourishing moisturizer should be applied.
2) Drink plenty of water.
The ideal is to drink between 2 to 3 liters of water per day. This way, you help keep your skin hydrated and healthy, improving circulation and renewing the body's collagen.
3) Be careful with the haze!
Even if the day is cloudy, it's important to protect your skin when performing any outdoor activity. This is because even with clouds, up to 80% of the sun's radiation can reach Earth.
4) Want some help with your tan?
There's no point in making up for a year away from the sun in just one day. The body needs an average of 2 to 3 days to produce and release melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation and protection. You can get a healthier tan by using sunscreen and eating more carotenoid-rich foods, such as beets, carrots, and pumpkin.
